Alessandro Gherardi

I was born in Liverpool in 1993, but it is among the forests of Lapland, where I lived with my family for a year, I discovered the beauty of the wood and the pleasure of working it. Back in Italy, I attended The Art Institute "Gaetano Chierici" in Reggio Emilia, where I graduated Master of Arts and two years later I have achieved maturity. The study of classical guitar and the increasing interest in designing and building wooden objects, led me to enroll in the School of Violin Making "Bottega di Parma", Master's Desiderio Quercetani.
Under his expert guidance, I built according to the principles of the classical tradition of Italian
violin-maker, my first stringed instruments, adding to this activity, the restoration and repair of ancient and modern instruments. At the same time I'm forming in Reggio Emilia with Master Giovanni Cavazzoli in the construction, maintenance and repair of the bow.
